Summer is just around the corner in some parts of the world, which means that beach bums and sun-worshippers will once again be out basking in the sun, soaking in the sea, and frolicking on the sand. There are many popular beach spots around the world, but one of the most sought-after and frequented by the rich and famous is the island paradise of Capri, a small island off the coast of Naples.

Capri island is situated on the Tyrrhenian Sea, further south from the Sorrento Peninsula. Since the days of the Roman Republic, the island has been a well-known and frequently visited coastal resort, favored by many Roman emperors such as Tiberius (who built a villa on the island). It is believed that the island’s name can be traced back to the Ancient Greeks, so it’s not surprising to find that Greek mythology also cites Capri as an isle of the sirens, most likely because of the paradise qualities of the island.

Now, allow us to show you Capri through the lens of our very own and very lucky lomographers! If you want to learn more about the island paradise, you may also want to read the Location articles written by golfpunkgirl and veato!
