Fuji Neopan Acros 100: A Must-Have for Street Photography

3

When shooting street photography, most of us analogue users prefer to do to do it in black and white, as it shows the rawness of the streets. The photos have more drama and character. My choice of film to capture all these is Fuji Neopan Acros 100.

The Neopan Acros 100 is a good film for street photography, with a low ISO of 100. It's best because there's enough light when you are outdoors, specifically on the streets. With a higher ISO of 400, I think it would somehow overexpose your photos, thus lessening the drama of street photography. Neopan Acros 100 is a fine grain film but this film has a thin grey base, very thin base and that it scratches easily. But this is what is exciting about it because it easily scratches, it adds more character and drama to your photos. It adds to that vintage appeal on your photos.

Obviously, it's not advisable to be used indoors, because it results in more negative spaces in your photos (black portions), although by using flash, you could still have a good result out of it. In a well-lit indoor place, this film still can be very sharp.

Overall, it’s a very versatile film. But, to maximize its potential, it’s best when used for street photography or any of your fun outdoor shoots.
