Kindly relate to us any memorable experience, whether happy or sad, you’ve had in relation to Lomography.

I have been a Lomographer for two years already. I googled Lomography on the internet and now it has become my must visit website almost every day! I only got one Lomography camera, the Diana F+, at first. Most of the photos that I uploaded in the website were not taken with a Lomographic camera. However, there were still some Lomographers who liked the photos I took.

After I got my LC-A+, I uploaded an album called 洗衣店- and many Lomographers saw it and liked it. Until one day, I ffound out that my photo was chosen as Lomography’s Photo of the Day. I was so surprised and excited! There were so many Lomographers who liked my photos and added me as their friends. Then, I won some Piggy points by participating in contests and activities. Moreover, I also bought a Sprocket Rocket, Horizon Perfekt, Spinner 360, LC-Wide, LomoKino, etc. Now I own almost every Lomographic camera! I think I’m really lucky to let people see my work and like my photos as well.

I met many friends through Lomography. aprilrich427 was the first Lomographer who exchanged double exposure films with me. I also did it with porkchopsandy, umi, gladys, ripsta, eva_eva and the results were amazing! I’m glad I did this and met these people, especially gladys from Malaysia. Once she came to visit Taiwan, we met and had a great talk. Jason from Manila asked me to do a photomontage with him — that was a special experience.

I went to Hong Kong in 2011 and met (another) Jason at Lomography Gallery Store Hong Kong. We used the LC-Wide to take instant photos and had a nice little chat. I’m happy to meet Lomographers in different countries, it’s like meeting families. I met umi, phaliyp, jeansman, shanti929, and mini-mini in Taiwan. There are many other Lomographers who like my photos and I really appreciate their compliments. Plus I really enjoy the good photos taken by other skilled Lomographers everyday!

What are the emotions that best explain this story you have? What are your thoughts about it?

Lomography is definitely an important part of my life, it is also the website that I enjoy everyday! It has changed my lifestyle, and I get to fall in love with photography more and more. I have met a lot of friends here and this website also helps me enhance my skills. And many of the films and cameras I own were bought from this website.

If ever this experience did not occur in your life, what kind of person would you be right now? Would you be not the same person without this experience?

I think I’m happy to be one of the members of this Lomographic Community. I can’t imagine life without these experiences. I could just be the one who uses a digital camera and will never understand the difference of using a film camera. That would be awful!

Come and take a look at C.C.’s personal gallery of Lomographs!

  • This is my favorite LC-A+ photo. This girl shows up in my photos often, she is really important to my life. I took this one when we visited Yilan in Taiwan. I think it is beautiful, and I love it very much.
