I haven't seen this movie, but the building is well known around the globe for its appearance in one of the best movies in the history of cinema - Blade Runner.

Beautiful building, I'm jealous that you're in the area to visit it anytime. It's screen appearance that I find the funniest is CSI:NY. One of the most iconic buildings in LA being featured in a TV show that is supposed to be taking place in NY, Funny. ;-)

@adash yes, blade runner is a great cult movie and i'm happy that this building has made appearances in a handful of movies. it's sad that people don't shoot as much in LA anymore because it's much cheaper to shoot somewhere else so whenever they make new movies that feature LA (i.e. Drive, The Artist), i'm only too excited.

@alburnkat it's a gorgeous building indeed. very romantic. i wish they'd make buildings like this again. that is funny about csi:ny, i guess whoever directed/wrote that episode/those episode really wanted to feature the building. ;)

the first thing that came to my mind when looking at this picture was: if i will ever be in the city i have to go there and take a shot. great one!

@bloomchen it's really gorgeous! too bad, since they're trying to preserve it, visitors can only be in the lobby and first floor landing... still, it's worth a visit!
