Lomography LomoChrome Turquoise XR 100-200 EBS and Over-Exposed for Fun
written by alienmeatsack on 2015-04-11Never let the rules determine how you shoot your film. Always let your ideas flow freely from your hands when you shoot. As a result, each roll and shot are your reward.

Why We All Should Know What the Sunny f/16 Rule is About.
written by alienmeatsack on 2015-03-23Many of us have heard of and use the Sunny f/16 rule when shooting cameras without meters. It's a great guide to help you shoot... But It's also important to keep in mind for metered cameras too.

Things I've learned in whispers and shouts.
written by alienmeatsack on 2014-11-25I've only been doing the Lomography thing for 2 years and change, but I've learned a lot since then. Sometimes that education comes in quiet whispers. And sometimes it comes in bold words right in your face. Am I listening to these little tidbits? I am trying to.

The Holga Close Up Lens Kit - For Close up Shots from most any Camera
written by alienmeatsack on 2014-11-23Not every camera can get in close enough or portraits or detail shots. That is why I like close up lenses and filters. My favorite however is an in-expensive option, the Holga Close Up Lens Kit. It's small and fits in my pocket or bag for carrying with me when I shoot.

Weather, Sickness and Work
written by alienmeatsack on 2014-10-02It's been a slow photographic month or two for me. Between the weather here, my cold that won't go away and my busy work schedule, I've not really had time to get out and really shoot like I want.

Walking, Leaking, Falling and Breaking all in the name of photography
written by alienmeatsack on 2014-09-07Sometimes we all have those days where things just seem to go wrong over and over. Today was one in a long string of those days for me. My photo walk was plagued with issues left and right. But in the end, I got 3 rolls and maybe 1/2 of a 4th out of the chaos. And some good shots. So it was a win.

Accessorize Your Lomography Petzval Lens for Maximum Flexibility when Shooting
written by alienmeatsack on 2014-07-27You've got your Lomography Petzval in your hands and have shot with it, but how do you get more out of the lens and it's wonderful creamy swirling bokeh? What other goodies should you carry with you when shooting your Petzval? And what do you do when it's super bright outside and your camera's shutter or film speeds just don't allow you to expose correctly? Hopefully this video will help answer some of those questions.

How To: Multiple Exposure and Longer Exposures for the Horizon 202 and similar cameras
written by alienmeatsack on 2013-09-08Due to the fact that the Horizon 202 and other similar swing lens cameras do not have a MX (Multiple Exposure) feature, you must use a little work around to expose a frame of your film longer or over multiple shots onto the same frame.
